About Absolute Creo
Founded in the spring
of 2005, Absolute Creo LLC ice cream truck service is owned and
operated by student entrepreneur Demetri J.M Patitsas of Huntingdon,
PA. Conceived out of the Juniata College Center for Entrepreneurial
Leadership,
www.jcel.biz, Patitsas applied for seed capital during his
sophomore year in 2005 and now boasts two seasons under wing with a
third soon approaching. A single member limited liability company,
Absolute Creo has successfully captured the imagination and spirit
of the eleven communities it serves, the three private campgrounds,
countless businesses, nursing homes, athletic parks, events and
more. Complete with black bow tie, white uniform, and the all too
familiar chime of the ice cream truck, Absolute Creo has resurrected
this delicious blend of ice cream and old fashioned service. Among
the ice cream eating public, his loyal customer base has no
prejudice as the young and old alike sample from the rich variety of
prepackaged novelty items from Creamsicles to Italian Ices to
Chocolate Éclairs. Yet, often when asked what business he is in,
Patitsas responds “I don’t sell ice cream; I sell an experience.”
A mixture of an
established route, attendance at various family and celebratory
functions; Absolute Creo also caters to local businesses during
corporate events. One of special note was an employee appreciate
day for over 600 employees of AGY wherein the company lobby was
transformed into a 1950’s milkshake and soda fountain, with a mix of
Good Humor items and special treats. A traditional and honest
appeal, Absolute Creo’s consistent look, professionalism, and
cheerful nature have won the ice cream business fans all over the
United States. An award winning website,
www.icecreo.com, Absolute Creo continues to receive requests
from people from the states of Delaware, Maryland, Massachusetts,
and multiple cities throughout Pennsylvanian.
Meanwhile, Patitsas
has begun preparations for expanding into the additional territory
in the State College and Altoona areas this summer 2007. Over the
past two seasons, Absolute Creo has steadily increased its fleet
from one to three trucks and from a team of two employees to five.
Furthermore, Patitsas shares the experience with college students
and community members through summer assistantships that offer
employment. Growing from nearly $26,000 in sales in 2005 to over
$55,000 in 2006; the budding company also takes advantage of its
highly visible appeal by offering advertisement spaces on the trucks
for local businesses.
Meanwhile, Absolute
Creo’s expansion and success has earned it high esteem as the
recipient of the Huntingdon County’s Chamber of Commerce
“Entrepreneurial Success Award” for 2006, Pa Business Central
Magazine’s “One of the Top Four Entrepreneurs Under Forty in PA”
along with their “Top 100 People in PA” award for 2006
along with State Congressman Bill Shuster
and Senator Rick Santorum, and others. Additionally, to
date, Absolute Creo LLC was awarded the grand prize winner of the
“Plan for the Future” business plan competition sponsored by the
National Federation of Independent Businesses organization for 2007!
